Sovereign Game Mechanics Engine

Every dice roll, every combat outcome, every skill check is resolved by FlagonForge’s own rules engine — built from scratch, no D&D IP involved. Dice resolution, character progression, combat arbitration, skill checks, and morale systems are all enforced server-side by the proprietary FlagonForge Ruleset. The platform holds 100% sovereign ownership over the complete gameplay surface, the lore, and every mechanical primitive.

Model-Agnostic AI Narration Layer

Your AI Dungeon Master narrates every scene, rules on every action, and remembers your whole story. The narration layer is model-agnostic by design: contextual payloads — validated player state, persistent world history, and ruleset constraints — are packaged and dynamically routed to the optimal LLM endpoint based on narrative complexity and compute cost thresholds. Currently wired to Anthropic Claude, with Google Vertex AI (Gemini) as a first-class routing target on the roadmap; the layer can hot-swap or multi-route across providers without application-layer changes.

Stateful Async World Engine

Step away mid-quest and come back whenever you like — minutes, hours, or days later, the world picks up exactly where you left off. Every player action passes through a strict JSON-schema validation pipeline before committing to world state. The relational data layer (Postgres 15 + Supabase Realtime) persists full narrative history, combat records, and session context with real-time sync — guaranteeing full state recovery across any session gap with zero data loss.

Under the Hood

Each player turn submits a structured input payload that is validated server-side against the FlagonForge JSON schema — resolving dice, skill checks, and combat mechanics before any LLM call is dispatched. The orchestration layer then packages a context window containing the full session history, current world state, and character record, and routes it to the active model endpoint for narrative generation. The AI Game Master’s response is committed atomically to the persistent session record in Postgres and delivered to the player in real time over the Supabase Realtime channel.
